smokie03 Alice? Who the heck is Alice?

Alan Silson is celebrating his birthday today. He was the lead guitarist and songwriter for the Seventies British rock band, Smokie. A lot of people don’t remember Smokie, since they were much bigger in England than here in the USA…BUT, one of my favorite songs from the Seventies was performed by them. In the 90’s, the song became a college bar song, much like Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.
