The good news is, Amy Schumer can actually write.  The better news is, she’s writing a book!  In fact, the book’s publisher says “Amy Schumer is not an entertainer who can actually write. She’s a writer. Who also happens to entertain…”

On Tuesday, Gallery Books announced that the very funny lady, who exploded on the scene last year, is penning “The Girl With The Lower Back Tatoo.”  The publisher says ‘Tatoo’ (the title is a riff on Stieg Larsson’s blockbuster thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), will “feature personal and observational stories from Schumer that range from the raunchy to the romantic, the heartfelt to the harrowing.”

Amy may have been writing this tome for a while now, as the publication date is August 16th.  The star of “Trainwreck” and Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer”  signed her book deal last September, for a reported $8 million to $10 million.  Schumer’s book follows the path of other female TV comedians who have had big best sellers, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham, Mindy Kaling and Chelsea Handler.
