Philly has been racking up the amazing concert announcements this year, and this summer we’ll get to add a visit from Blondie and Garbage to the list as the two bands team up for a co-headlining tour.

The massive North American tour kicks off on July 5th in Saratoga, CA and makes its way to our area on August 2nd when the groups stop at the Mann Center on August 2nd. The tour ends in Dallas, TX on August 12th.

Titled the Rage and Rapture tour, John Doe & Exene Cervenka will open for the bands during the first leg of the tour and Deap Vally will be on hand for the second half. Tickets for the tour go on sale beginning Friday, February 17th at 10AM local time. Fans can also access a ticket pre-sale now here using the password RAGEANDRAPTURE.

With an incredible career spanning 40 years, Blondie, made up of singer-songwriter Debbie Harry, Chris SteinClem Burke, Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler and keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen, has been influential in the world of music, fashion and art. Their latest album, Pollinator, is due out on May 5th. The group recently released the first single from the LP titled Fun.

Garbage first made big noise as a band to watch in 1995 with their self-titled debut album. In 2015, the band celebrated 20 years with their sold out 20 Years Queer tour. The band consists of members Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig. The band will also be releasing an autobiographical coffee table book titled This Is The Noise That Keeps Me Awake, currently available for preorder.
