This year is shaping up to bring us great new music from classic collaborators, and now we have another to add to the list.

Over the weekend, Ringo Starr posted photos of himself and his former bandmate Paul McCartney reunited, and in the studio working together. In one tweet, Ringo thanks his friend for “playing great bass.”

Starr and McCartney last worked together on Ringo’s 2010 album Y Not, and Paul is lending his skills to a new album from the former Beatles drummer.

Joining the two in the studio was legendary Joe Walsh, former Eagles member and current member of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. Rounding out the iconic music group was Starr’s longtime sound engineer Bruce Sugar. Sugar posted his own message from Paul’s home studio saying, “Magical day in the studio today with these two…”

Ringo spoke with Billboard in 2016 about his upcoming album, which is due out early this year, but no release date has been announced.
