Jerry Lee Lewis is suing his daughter amid claims that she has been keeping him under her control, TMZ reports.
The 81-year-old rocker contends in legal documents that while his daughter Phoebe managed his career from 2000 to 2012, she plotted with her husband, Ezekiel Loftin, to steal Lewis’ money. He says she controlled him by giving him a “heavy cocktail of psychotropic drugs.”
In the documents, Lewis also accuses his daughter of forcing him to continue touring, even with her father in poor health. When he wasn’t performing, Lewis says he was kept at home in moldy conditions that were so bad he had to wear an oxygen mask.
Lewis is also suing Loftin, claiming that he spent at least $5 million of his money on items including luxury cars, real estate, and plastic surgery.
The Great Balls of Fire singer is suing the pair in the hope of recouping his assets and barring the couple from using his name and likeness in the future.
