Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke teamed up with the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir at his TRI Studios in California to jam together back in 2013. Dubbed Blackberry Smoke With Bob Weir: An Evening at TRI, a DVD of that session was released just one month ago. One of the songs performed during the set is a cover of Berry’s 1964 track Promised Land. It was later recorded by Elvis Presley in 1974.

Weir has covered the tune in the past with his band RatDog, but this version is a slowed-down rendition of the original. Take a listen below, did they nail it?
