Star Wars: Force For Change in collaboration with Omaze are launching the Star Wars “Past, Present and Future” fundraising campaign which will benefit UNICEF and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
From April 11th through May 11th, fans o the franchise will have the opportunity to enter a contest at Omaze.com/StarWars for a chance to win one of several once-in-a-lifetime Star Wars-themed prizes. Each week brings a new prize which will be awarded to a randomly selected winner. Prizes include a chance to appear in the upcoming Han Solo movie, tickets to the world premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and an overnight stay at Skywalker Ranch.
Through a $1M grant from Star Wars: Force For Change, Starlight Children’s Foundation will be able to support their mission to bring comfort and joy to hospitalized children through their network of over 700 children’s hospitals, clinics, camps and other initiatives all over the U.S.
Since 2014, Star Wars: Force for Change and UNICEF have joined together to help children around the world. Supportive Star Wars fans have helped them raise over $9M for projects since the two organizations have come together.
“In a year that we celebrate 40 years of the Star Wars saga, I continue to be inspired by the incredible generosity and charitable efforts of our fans,” said Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy via press release. “We are so proud of their tireless dedication to positively impact the lives of children and others around the world, and hope this year’s Force For Change campaign will offer a few of those wonderful fans an experience they will never forget.”
