Gregg Allman has taken to his Facebook page to assure fans that he is not in hospice care, as recent rumors suggested.

In the statement, Allman says he’s “currently home in Savannah resting” due to doctor’s orders.

“I want to thank you for all the love that you are sending,” he states. “Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Keep Rockin’.”

The message from Allman follows a Monday report stating that the Allman Brothers Band singer had been hospice care. That article was based on an unfounded Facebook post. Allman recently canceled a run of summer dates and then announced he wouldn’t be touring at all in 2017. While Allman has had health issues in recent years, the full details have never been disclosed by Allman himself.

Last August, Allman canceled 28 shows, some major festival appearances, citing “serious health issues.” While he returned to the stage last October for two shows, he later postponed his winter tour after suffering a vocal injury. Some of those show were rescheduled for the June dates that have since been canceled.
