Just in time for Father’s Day, a collection of limited edition artwork from The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection will be shown at Ocean Galleries in Stone Harbor, NJ.

The exhibit, titled If I Ran the Zoo, opens on June 16th and runs through June 19th. Hours for the showing are from 10AM to 10PM, and all pieces are available for purchase.

Guests can also take part in lectures by Dr. Seuss expert Jeff Schuffman from 7PM to 10PM on June 17th and from 1PM to 4PM on June 18th.

The artwork was produced 80 years ago by Seuss himself, as part of his Collection of Unorthodox Taxidermy, a display of “Seussian” animals, often created from real animal beaks, antlers, horns, lions’ teeth, rabbit ears, and more. It’s a pretty cool way to spend a day wowing the kids!

The exhibition marks the first time all 17 works have been presented together.

While Seuss’ art remains relatively unknown by the general public, art aficionados have collected estate-authorized editions from the collection for nearly 20 years.
