Can you write a great song? You may have an opportunity to win the 22nd Annual USA Songwriting Competition this year if you enter before the deadline on May 31st.
Songwriters have the chance to bring home the top prize of $50,000 in cash and prizes, and winning songs will even get airplay on the radio! There are 15 different categories to enter your music into, including Pop, Folk, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock/Alt, Jazz, Instrumental, and more.
The competition is sponsored by Sony, D’Addario Strings, CDBaby, ReverbNation, Soundmatters, ASCAP, Sirius Satellite Radio, and many more.
Notable winners from last year include Jesse Blaze Snider, son of Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider, and Trev Lukather, son of legendary guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto.
The competition gives writers a chance to show off their talent and launch what could become a very successful music career. While most contests focus on the performer, this is a unique opportunity for those who aren’t standing front and center with a microphone to showcase their skills.
“This is a great place for talent to be found,” says Monte Lipman, President & CEO of Universal Records.
