It’s never too late to say “I’m sorry” and it seems Geri Horner has finally said her piece regarding her departure from the Spice Girls 19 years ago.

It started when the account for a 2016 documentary called 20 Years of Spice, a film about the group’s impact on music and pop culture, tweeted a video of news outlets reporting on the split, and fans sharing their feelings after Horner, then Geri Halliwell, leaving the group. Horner spotted the tweet and replied, “I’m sorry about that … everything works out in the end, that’s what my mum says!”

Back in 1998, Horner disclosed her reason for leaving, saying, “Sadly I would like to confirm that I have left the Spice Girls. This is because of differences between us. I’m sure the group will continue to be successful and I wish them all the best.”

She made the announcement during the group’s Spiceworld Tour. After her departure, Horner went on to enjoy a successful solo career.

As her former bandmates are trying to bring a reunion to fans, this may just help make things right.
