The incredible honors just keep pouring in for the late Adam West, former Batman, and Mayor of Quahog.

The actor’s popularity surge in his later years was, in part, due to his role on the adult cartoon show Family Guy where he played the role of Mayor West, an irreverent and hilarious caricature version of his comedic persona.

This Sunday (June 18) at 9:30PM, Family Guy, and the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, will honor their late mayor with a tribute episode. The story sees Mayor West winning an auction for a medieval-themed restaurant. Titled The Dating Game, the episode will kick off with a tribute message to West, who passed away on June 9th following a brief battle with leukemia.

FOX, the channel that airs Family Guy, had planned to air a different rerun episode this Sunday but chose to air one that represents the comic genius of the actor.

Over the weekend after West’s passing, fellow actor Seth McFarlane shared a heartfelt message to his friend via Twitter.

“Family Guy has lost its mayor, and I have lost a friend,” McFarlane says.

We’re all feeling the loss, too.
