A little over a year since Prince‘s untimely passing and we’re all still so sad he’s gone, but at Paisley Park, music lives on.

From August 31st through September 3rd, Prince’s former estate-turned-museum will host a Battle of the Bands dubbed Musicology – Summer 2017. The event is described as highlighting “Real Music by Real Musicians,” a cause that Prince believed in and worked to promote throughout his life.

Nine finalists will be selected from video submissions to perform for a live audience on the same stage where Prince himself performed! The deadline for submissions is July 30, 2017.

Three artists will perform from the 31st through the 2nd, and one winner will be selected each night. The three overall winners will perform on September 3rd, with a champion taking the crown, earning an Artist Development Award. The award includes studio time at Paisley Park, a mentorship session with the New Power Generation, and more to-be-announced goodies.

To submit your video for the contest, head to the Paisley Park Facebook page for all the details!
