By Marilyn Russell

This week on Remarkable Woman Marilyn Russell is joined by Jennifer Hansen from Enlightened Solutions and Natanya DiBona from Diner EnBlanc.

Jennifer Hansen

Yes, addiction is a tough topic on a Sunday morning, but Jennifer Hansen is fantastic and shared with Russell very helpful information for anyone who may have a family member or friend suffering from addiction.

Having a combined 45+ years of experience in their personal recovery, Hansen, Robert Snyder and Terri Burns have assisted in the restoration of countless lives helping them break free from the chains of addiction.

Hansen went from living on the street with a $300-a-day heroin habit to becoming a role model and advocate for those struggling with the substance abuse issues. Through her non-profit organization, The Hansen Foundation, she has founded halfway houses and sober living facilities for both men and women. She is also a certified yoga instructor and leads a holistic way of life through organic eating, chiropractic care, acupuncture and herbal remedies.

Her own experiences taught her that recovery does not end after short-term rehabilitation, and that more resources are necessary in order to ensure longterm stability and growth. The Hansen Foundation was the beginning, and through Enlightened Solutions, Hansen seeks to continue filling this void and reaching out to addicts in need.

Natanya DiBona

Natanya DiBona is a part-time event planner and co-Founder and Organizer for ‘Diner EnBlanc,’ the French-themed Dinner in White, an annual events catered to francophiles everywhere!

Launched in Paris in 1988, Diner EnBlanc has been embraced by Philadelphians and this is the sixth year the dinner will be held here…in a secret location that’s not announced until day of Thursday, August 17th, 2017. It’s basically a pop-up dinner party with everyone dressed in white and bringing their own tables, chairs, wine and champagne. Food can be pre-ordered.

DiBona also sits on the board of Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia so her and Russell also talked about an upcoming benefit they’re holding to raise money for Batram’s Garden. That’s coming up on Thursday, July 20th at the Farm at Batram’s.
