A custom-painted Rolls-Royce once owned by John Lennon is going on it own little magical mystery tour…
While at the peak of The Beatles popularity as a band, Lennon purchased a Phantom V, delivered to him on June 3, 1965. To this day, it’s one of the most popular celebrity cars of all time.
The car’s rear seats were exchanged for a bed, and the car also boasts a fridge, TV, phone, and a sound system. He was seen regularly all over Britain in the car until around 1969, when the car was shipped back to the US.
Other iconic stars such as Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones had their chance to ride in the car before it was donated to the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria, BC, Canada.
The car is on view to the public at Bonhams in London on New Bond Street from July 29th through August 2nd as a part of a Rolls-Royce exhibition called The Great Eight Phantoms.
