This fall, Art Garfunkel is set to publish his new memoir, titled What Is It All But Luminous: Notes From an Underground Man.

The book will feature stories of Art’s childhood in Queens, his eventual meeting with Paul Simon in school and their recording their first hit song together, Hey, Schoolgirl, at the age of 16 under the name Tom & Jerry.

The book will also explore the tumultuous relationship between Garfunkel and Simon, and Art’s thoughts on his solo career, acting work, receiving his master’s degree in mathematics, the trauma of nearly losing his voice and gaining it back.

The book is due out on September 26th.

Garfunkel will also resume his In Close-Up world tour on February 2nd at Sunrise Theatre in Ft. Pierce, Florida. From his Florida dates, Garfunkel takes his tour to Europe until February 25th where he’ll perform in Ontario. The tour will end in next May in California.
