If you were a fan of Rod Serling‘s The Twilight Zone, you’ll love this… a theatrical adaptation is heading to the stage!

The Hollywood Reporter confirms that the play will have its world premiere at the Almeida Theatre in London later this year. The script was adapted by Anne Washburn, who also wrote the dark comedy play Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play. That script was based on a classic episode of The Simpsons, re-imagined and set in the future.

Richard Jones will direct the play, and casting will be announced at a later date.

Previews for the show begin December 5th, and the limited engagement is set to run through January 27th.

The Twilight Zone ran on TV from 1959 to 1964, with 156 thought-provoking episodes under its belt.

“The Twilight Zone was an ingenious mixture of morality tales, fables, and fantasy that are as relevant today as when they first aired,” says Veronica Hart, Senior Vice President, CBS Consumer Products. “The play allows these powerful stories to be experienced in an entirely new way in order to reach a whole new audience.”
