A week after the Eagles‘ reunited for a triumphant Classic West concert in Los Angeles, Don Henley celebrated his 70th birthday on July 22nd at a star-studded event in his hometown of Dallas, Texas.

At the American Airlines Center, the star was joined by his Eagles bandmates Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, Fleetwood Mac member Stevie Nicks, and Patty Smyth.

Henley has enjoyed a great year; in addition to performing the Classic West shows, he was also a featured artist at a July 17th private concert benefitting Oceana, an ocean conservation organization, and the Walden Woods project founded by Henley, that also featured Jackson Browne.

Henley opened the party with Steve Young’s Seven Bridges Road, a song included on the 1980 Eagles’ live album, and also sang solo hits like Dirty Laundry, Sunset Grill, and That Old Flame.

Watch some of the awesome set below and be sure to wish Don Henley a happy 70th birthday!
