Everything old is new again, and some of our favorite shows are in talks to head back to TV in the coming year. Add another show to the list… King of the Hill!

The show, created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, ran for 13 seasons from 1997 to 2009 on FOX and followed the life of Hank Hill, a salesman of propane and propane accessories, and his wild bunch of friends and family through their daily life in the city of Arlen, TX.

King of the Hill was a cult favorite, regularly making the rounds in syndication, and fans have been asking to see it return.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, FOX’s co-chairman Dana Walden said of the show’s revival, “We had a very preliminary conversation given what’s going on in the country, they had a point of view about how those characters would respond. But again, it was one meeting and I hope to revisit it.

“The meeting was probably two and a half months ago. They’re both very busy and it was really just a first exploratory, ‘Are you excited about this? Is there potential in that future?’ And they were both excited about it but they’re working on a lot of different things individually, so it’s about finding time.”

Judge has been busy since King of the Hill, he is the creator of the popular show Silicon Valley. Daniels went on to work with wildly successful shows The Office and Parks and Recreation, as well as executive producing the sci-fi comedy People of Earth.
