Philly’s own dynamic duo, Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff reunited over the weekend (August 26th and 27th) to play the Livewire Festival in Blackpool, England, and the performance has the Fresh Prince ready to get back on the stage regularly again.

The pair performed their classic hits as well as a new song titled Get Lit, which was very well received. Jeff took to his Facebook page to post his feelings on the reunion show, saying, “Thank you to the whole JJFP team for not only getting this across the finish line but for winning the race period this was one of the greatest moments of my life and I like to thank everyone that played a part in it.”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight following the show, Will spoke about the concert and how he’d love to do it again.

“Now I got the bug,” he laughed. “I was on fire last night. It was the first time being on stage in a while. I blew my voice out a little – I do that all the time. I just can’t contain myself on stage.

“I blew my voice out hard. I hurt my knee on Summertime. All the way through the second verse, I was trying to do the leaning to the side (move). You can’t speed, though. I leaned a little too far and my meniscus was bothering me.”

Smith also said he has no plans to revive his insanely popular Fresh Prince of Bel-Air show that ran from 1990 through 1996, putting recent rumors that the show would make a comeback soon.

“Stuff had to go really wrong for there to be a Fresh Prince reunion special,” he said. “Like, I don’t know what would have to happen! Nah man, you can’t touch stuff like that. It’s so nostalgic for people – I’m not going nowhere near that.”
