If you were a fan of the 80’s classic show Amazing Stories from Steven Spielberg, get ready for a reboot!

Rumor has it that Apple is looking to revive the series for it’s streaming service.

The original series ran from 1985 to 1987, and gained numerous accolades during its run, being nominated for 12 Emmy awards during its TV tenure. The first episode of the show, The Amazing Fallsworth, garnered an Edgar Award for writer Mick Garris for Best Episode in a TV Series.

The show featured a mix of horror, fantasy, and science fiction, and boasted actors, actresses, and directors that are now household names including Kevin Costner, Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swayze, Rhea Pearlman, Danny DeVito, Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, and Robert Zemeckis.

The service plans to work with NBCUniversal and Spielberg’s production company to bring the series to fruition.

The announcement comes as Apple seeks to make original content a priority, with other streaming platforms such as Netflix already deep in the fray.
