We finally have a date for the upcoming reboot of American Idol with new judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Katy Perry. Set your DVR’s for March 11, 2018!

Ryan Seacrest, the once and future host of the show, broke the news on his morning talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan today (November 6th). Perry confirmed the news shortly after via her Instagram account.

Auditions for the show have been underway across the country for the past three months, making 23 stops, hoping t snag the top new talent in the country.

The premiere in March will be a two-hour episode, airing at 8PM on ABC.

The original run of the televised talent competition originally aired on FOX beginning in 2002 and spawned music superstars such as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Daughtry.
