As the CHOP/WOGL Radiothon approaches, Marilyn features Kathleen Summers, MA, MT-BC, a music therapist in Child Life and Family Services at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Kathleen spends her days soothing the premature newborns in the NICU, training parents to use music as a way to comfort their children while in the hospital, and holding music lessons for patients.

Marilyn is also celebrating the recent achievements of KYW Reporter Cherri Gregg, who was just honored with an award for a piece she filed on CBS Radio and Television concerning racial profiling. Cherri is also significantly involved in local charities and events, and takes a moment to discusses Career Wardrobe, a Philadelphia nonprofit which empowers unemployed individuals with support, guidance, and office clothes.
