British-American actress Marina Sirtis is best know for her role in “Star Trek:  Next Generation”.  She’s also appeared in a number of television series and the feature film “Crash.”  However, that’s not the reason our Marilyn Russell had the pleasure of interviewing her.

She was our honored voice, in fact, because of her new Lifetime Christmas movie, “My Christmas Prince”, due to air Sunday, December 3rd at 8 p.m.

In the original film, Sirtis plays Felicia, a high-ranking executive for the royal family of Madelvia, sent to the States to meddle in the romantic affair of Crown Prince Alexander.  Alexander is romantically involved with a Manhattan commoner named Samantha, played by Pitch Perfect’s Alexis Knapp, and it is Felicia’s goal to convince him that royal duties must come before love.

As you can imagine…what ensues is a romantic comedy of errors.

Sirtis spoke with Marilyn Russell to discuss the film, her role on Star Trek, and her love of Philadelphia.  Ironically, given her Star Trek fame, she has been known to disavow technology and our internet culture of instant gratification.

She told Star, “I hate the fact that people want to know what you’re doing 24-7. I mean, personally, I’m not interested in what I’m doing 24 hours a day, let alone what anyone else is doing 24 hours a day.”

Well, Marina, we are exceedingly grateful that you took the time to embrace our little corner of the technological sphere for a heartfelt interview, and we can’t wait to see you on Lifetime this Sunday!  Check out the full interview below!
