Friends, last week was crazy.
In addition to the various and sundry things a busy radio station does over the course of a week, last week was the #WOGLradiothon. And, hopefully, you caught some of it as we broadcast live from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on Thursday and Friday.
It was an inspirational two days, giving us the opportunity to actually meet the children for whom we are raising money, and to see the world class facility being supported by all this effort. And we are proud to report that we raised $300,439!
The success, of course, belongs to you fans. Everyone who listened to the stories from CHOP, who called in to pledge, who became a Monthly Miracle Maker, who went to the website to donate…this victory is all because of you.
You have funded research, supported families, and added to the Social Work fund, which provides such necessities as food, laundry services, and cab vouchers to patients and parents who are displaced while children receive treatment at CHOP. You have given hope to families at the end of their rope, who are in Philadelphia for a miracle. You have made a very real difference, and for that, we are indebted to you.
Thank you all for listening, for donating, and for caring. We very much hope we can count on your support again next year…because as long as there are children to help at CHOP, there will be a #WOGLradiothon!
