Marilyn Russell Speaks to Eagles Celebration Organizer: Useful Tips for Tomorrow

February 7, 2018
By Shannon Frost Greenstein This morning, Marilyn Russell interviewed Ike Richman from Ike Richman Communications, the brains and muscle behind tomorrow's celebration of the EAGLES SUPER BOWL VICTORY!!!  GO, BIRDS!  #FLYEAGLESFLY! Sorry.  We're still pretty excited. ANYway, he gave us some good tips  about how to get the most out of your parade-going experience.  Namely, like a boy scout...BE PREPARED.  If you're taking SEPTA, make sure you get your tokens or passes today...don't wait for the last minute.  Give yourself plenty of time to get down there.  Aim to be early, and be ready to go with the flow.  Have a plan.  There are plenty of places along the route to cheer, so don't hesitate to spread out a bit. Most importantly, you'll want to text READYEAGLES to 888777.  You'll receive notifications throughout the day about the parade...where the Eagles are, where they're going, any issues, a timeline...literally all of the information you might need throughout the day to make this celebration go as seamlessly as possible. We are all so proud of our team, and our city.  This event is fifty-some years in the making, and it's on all of us to make it a memorable day.  Therefore, try to resist the urge to overindulge, and the subsequent urge to destroy public property.  This is a great chance to show the world that we do NOT deserve the reputation we seem to have...that Philly fans are supportive, selfless, and willing to brave any sort of conditions to cheer on our players.  Party on, my Eagles fans, but party on safely.  Let's make this city a shining example of how to celebrate a team RIGHT!
