October 28, 2018

First on the show this week is Jamie J. Brunson, Executive Director of First Person Arts (FPA). FPA is a Philadelphia-based not-for-profit whose mission is to transform the drama of daily life into memoir and documentary art. She talks to Marilyn about the 17th Annual First Person Arts Festival happening November 4-17. The Festival is held in various parts of the city, and features 11 different performances that highlight personal journeys, accounts of social activism and extreme adventure! For more info, visit

Then Marilyn meets Villanova native Karen Loftus. Karen is a journalist, a travel and lifestyle writer, and global photographer, among other things. She talks to Marilyn about all of her different careers and her recently launched all-women travel company, Women's Adventure Travels (WAT). There are three main themes throughout all of the WAT trips; Empowerment, Story & Community.  Each trip will celebrate women of distinction, particularly those defying the odds locally or globally.
