Marilyn Russell's Remarkable Women: Kortney Cruz, Julia Wicoff, and Melissa Lock

November 18, 2018

First on the show this week is Kortney Cruz, Director of Medicare Marketing and Telesales for Independence Blue Cross. If you’re like most of us, we don’t really know that much about Medicare… but have no fear because Kortney does a remarkable job of making it easy to understand and quite frankly it’s kind of fascinating!

Next Marilyn is joined by Julia Wicoff, Director, Cause Marketing and Children’s Miracle Network at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The 98.1 WOGL Loves Our Kids Radiothon will be here before we know it! For two days on December 6 and 7, WOGL will broadcast at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and feature inspirational stories from the amazing patients, families, and staff at CHOP. The money raised through Radiothon will support Tomorrow’s Breakthroughs for young patients and their families. You can donate now at https://www.chop.edu/events/981-wogl-loves-our-kids-radiothon

And finally Marilyn highlights one of our NJEA Leading Ladies contest winners – Melissa Lock. Melissa is an 8th Grade Physical Science Teacher at William Allen Middle School in Moorestown, NJ. Melissa has been teaching for 17 years and is a favorite among her students. Melissa says she enjoys teaching science because she loves have the subject become real to her students and seeing them connect science to the real world. Students are  comfortable with Ms. Lock and feel comfortable to come to her with any challenges they may be facing.
