Marilyn Russell's Remarkable Women: Melanie Harris & Karin Copeland

November 11, 2018

There are two inaugural events happening in the city of Philadelphia this week and we’ve got two remarkable women in to share all the details.

First up is Melanie Harris, Chief Information Officer for the School District of Philadelphia. On Tuesday, November 13th, the Philadelphia American Heart Association will launch its inaugural STEM Go Red event in which they will bring together  100+ girls from the School District of Philadelphia, to hear from leaders in the science, technology, engineering and math fields. They will gain first-hand experience, connect with inspiring leaders, and will walk away knowing they can make an impact through a career in STEM. For more info about The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia or to donate, please go to:

Karin has partnered with The Philadelphia Business Journal to present their inaugural Speaker Series featuring Nigel Travis, Executive Chairman of Dunkin' Brands and Author of The Challenge Culture on Thursday, November 15th.  The event will be held at the National Museum of American Jewish History from 7:30am-10:30am.
