Twelve-year-old Asher has big dreams for the future and is looking past the Sickle Cell Disease that sometimes slows him down. Asher’s dream is to become a Marine and serve his country.  He admires the bravery of the soldiers and all of the technology they use. That is why he is hoping for a cure to his chronic illness as soon as possible.

He comes to CHOP every three weeks to manage his disease and thinks CHOP takes great care of him. Asher says he prays about his situation and has friends at church that send prayers his way too.

Asher keeps a positive outlook knowing that CHOP is working hard to find a cure for Sickle Cell Disease.
