Cecelia, or as her friends and family call her Celi, is a loving, affectionate 14-year-old girl who was diagnosed with autism and Type 1 Diabetes. She is talkative and friendly and loves people. Her cognitive limitations has been isolating for her mother, Megan.  She says that it has been hard to connect with other kids and parents.

When Celi was diagnosed with Diabetes, life became even more complicated. Celi cannot manage her own condition and requires therapeutic support. CHOP has been a lifeline and a partner working in tandem with Celi’s family. Megan calls CHOP "a slice of heaven."

Celi has surprised everyone by becoming a master joke teller. She loves to entertain a crowd big or small with her gift for humor.
